We are only a few days into 2023, yet we still have Chinese New Year to look forward to. To celebrate the festive holiday, Zhang Quan’s Melting Sadness and adidas Originals have joined forces on a collaborative range comprising of the latter’s fan-favorite Superstar and ADIMATIC models.
Each silhouette in the Melting Sadness x adidas “2023 CNY” Pack boasts a playful take on the holiday. First up the ADIMATIC is inspired by the traditional dragon and lion dance. Arriving in both a blue and orange colorway, each option features bell attachments, sharp teeth, and eye motifs. Rounding out the look are semi-translucent outsoles showcasing paw-patterned bottoms.
Over on the Superstar, the pair arrives in both a pink or blue outfit that pays homage to the rabbit. Each pair sports a fluffy liner and all-over print inspired by traditional Chinese patterns. Rounding out the final details are the large puff balls on the heels and black dots to represent the spots on KARORO’s face.
