As the World Cup 2018 is underway in Russia, the hype surrounds the game of football (yes, football) on its biggest stage.
After a few eventful days in Russia, there’s no clear favorites, but there are plenty of stars. Including none other than Neymar Jr., the forward and face of la Seleção Brasileira. For those familiar with the Paris Saint-Germain striker, he’s a lover of Jordan Brand and a world-class player.
In celebration of Neymar Jr. and his love for the support, Red Bull teamed up with the Brazilian for the “Neymar Jr.’s Five Soccer Competition.” The Red Bull-sponsored tournament is about to name the best five-a-side squad in the world. After the regional qualifiers featured thousands of participants, the U.S. Final will take place on June 8-9 in Miami, FL, with the winners earning a trip to Brazil for the World Final in Neymar Jr.’s hometown of Praia Grande.
On top of the tournament filled with players and celebrities, customizer Mache devoted a pair of Air Jordan 1s for Neymar Jr. that pays homage to his roots and Jordan Brand.
