As the Nike Kobe partnership continues, rumors of a Kobe Bryant x Nike SB surfaced. Nice Kicks reached out to a trusted Nike SB source to comment on the matter.
“Not confirmed,” the source said. “Not 2024, 2025 at the earliest. Vanessa Bryant hasn’t even seen the project yet and she has to sign off on everything, so high probability of it getting squashed.”
The source went on to add that a model for the speculated Kobe Bryant x Nike SB collaboration hasn’t even been chosen.
If the rumored Kobe Bryant x Nike SB collaboration does take place, it would be the second time that the Mamba and Nike’s skating department linked up as Eric Koston and Kobe Bryant joined forces back in 2011, with 24 friends & family pairs made with the Kobe 6 material on the upper.
Time will tell if the Kobe Bryant x Nike SB partnership takes place in 2025. For now, the Kobe legacy will continue with the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Radiant Emerald”, Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Court Purple”, Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro “Girl Dad”, and more.
