With the Tokyo Olympics just around the corner, Finnish lifestyle brand Karhu (also a known favorite of Kanye West) will be launching a Trampas “Friendship” Pack comprising of two different colorways of the titular silhouette. What makes this release special is that it celebrates the running relationship and friendship shared between Finland and Japan.

To represent Japan, the iconic 1960s running silhouette features a white grain leather base and contrasting red suede M-logo on its mid-panels, which looks very similar to the nation’s flag. On the other hand, Finland’s sneaker is dressed in a blue suede upper and white grained leather stripes to represent its national flag. Each option comes equipped with debossed and gold printed Karhu branding, which was initially seen on Karhu’s footwear in the 50s and 60s. Additionally, each pair purchased will come with free matching Made in Italy socks.

The Karhu Trampas “Friendship” Pack, will pre-launch on Friday, July 23 in Japan, with a global release to follow one week later on July 30. Each pair will retail for $150. The pack will be available at select retailers worldwide, KARHU.COM, the Karhu Store Helsinki, and the Karhu Pop-up Store Verona.
