JuJu Watkins becomes the first athlete to co-create a performance model within LeBron James’ NXXT Gen platform, marking a major milestone not only for her career but for the next generation of hoopers watching her rise.

Built for JuJu’s Game
Co-designed with Nike Basketball, the LeBron NXXT Gen by JuJu is built for speed, control, and bounce. A full-length Nike React midsole keeps things responsive, while dual forefoot Air Zoom units deliver the pop for explosive plays.
A flexible leather upper with TPU support provides stability and comfort, rounding out a performance package made for attacking the rim or creating from deep.
Rooted in Watts
Beyond performance, the LeBron NXXT Gen by JuJu is layered with storytelling.
Watkins, who hails from Watts in Los Angeles, infused the design with elevated details that reflect both her personal style and her upbringing. Premium touches include:
- A jewel Swoosh
- 16mm performance laces
- Double-row stitching
- A quilted flower pattern on the interior collar and tongue
- An embroidered “By JuJu” doodle on the back of the tongue
The debut “Silver Lining” colorway serves as a visual metaphor for JuJu’s journey. Every surface of the shoe bends light differently, symbolizing her ability to find strength and clarity through adversity. It’s a nod to her community — a reminder that growth often happens in the shadows and that perspective can change everything.
Future colorways will continue to tell her story, paying tribute to both Watts and her second home at the University of Southern California.
