Following a slew of notable collaborations in the past few years, including team-ups with DELUXE and Converse, Japan’s Journal Standard is this time joining forces with New Balance.

Utilizing the New Balance 996 as the blueprint, the classic silhouette has been revisioned using tough Cordura in a black and grey color scheme. Along with the durable Cordura, the sneaker’s upper is crafted from a mix of suede and mesh fabric. Lastly, the Journal Standard x New Balance 996 features metal dubraes and leather tongue tab labels.

Interested readers will be able to cop the Journal Standard x New Balance 996 at overseas locations now. However, a stateside release has yet to be announced. Check out the photos below courtesy of Sneaker News in the meantime.
