Earlier this summer, Montreal-based creative studio JJJJound teased its upcoming collaboration with footwear mainstay Vans. Now the duo has officially unveiled their third collaborative range set to drop for the Summer 2023 season.
The upcoming Vault by Vans x JJJJound Collection takes inspiration from traditional French court footwear and comprises three reworked icons including the Authentic VLT LX, Classic Slip-On VLT LX, and Sk8-Mid VLT LX. Each pair boasts a clean and minimalistic composition, a design lauded design aesthetic of JJJJound.
First up, the Authentic VLT LX is made from fine organic cotton and features the JJJJound signature woven beige label reworked to be dual branded. Features include metal eyelets and lace aglets, rounded laces, and an off-tone sole unit. For the Classic Slip-On VLT LX, JJJJound and Vans reconfigured it to have the same organic cotton while removing the material backing to give it an unstructured silhouette. Lastly, for the Sk8-Mid VLT LX JJJJound reinterprets the mid-top to incorporate a fine organic cotton and suede upper build.
This isn’t the first time the duo have teamed up together. Back in 2017, they dropped a trio of Old Skools followed by a three-piece Vault by Vans Style 37 in August 2021.
