Jimmy Butler Leaves Jordan Brand to Pursue Sneaker Free Agency

Tonight, Jimmy Butler will face-off against the defending champs, the Toronto Raptors.

What will be on his feet? That’s now in question.

This morning, reports surfaced stating that Jimmy Buckets has left Jordan Brand prior to his contract ending in September 2020.

Originally leaving his prior sponsor – adidas – early to sign for less money with Jordan Brand, it was said back then that Butler took 75% less money to rock the Jumpman.

During his days with Jordan Brand, Jimmy has risen to the ranks of an NBA All-Star and is now leading the Miami Heat to contending in the East.

According to ESPN’s Nick DePaula, competing brands are just now hearing about Butler’s free agency. One would with think that Way of Wade would be a serious contender considering Jimmy’s Marquette and Miami ties to Dwyane. Recently, brands like PUMA and New Balance have also been active in the sneaker free agency space.
