Menswear brand J. Crew and Boston brand New Balance have maintained a healthy partnership over the past 10 years. Loved for their premium collaborations, J.Crew’s special takes on classic NB silhouettes have benefitted both brands. In their latest project, the two behemoths celebrate their decade-long run with a special 997 release.
Arriving in a neutral-tone color pallet, the 997 features a mixed material construction. Grey suedes appear on the toe-box paneling, ankle collar, tongue, laces, and the mid-paneling while muted green is spotted on the toe-box. Darker shades of navy and white appear below the silhouette’s upper. The sneaker sits atop an ENCAP midsole for added comfort, while also featuring special branding like the embroidered “X” celebrating the two brands’ 10-year anniversary.
