New Balance‘s 2002R model has seen a resurgence as of late largely thanks to recent collaborations with BAPE and Salehe Bembury. Now American retailer J.Crew is launching six exclusive colorways for the Fall 2021 season.
Included in the lineup is the outdoor-inspired “Rain Cloud,” a sultry “Night Tide,” and a calming “Incense” variant. Also included in the release are three previously seen colorways such as the “Sulphur,” “Black/Green,” and “White/Red/Silver” iterations.
In terms of construction, the models stay true to their standard build, albeit with a few alterations including the “NERGY” branding on the profile “N” logo instead of on the lateral midsole. Below ABZORB and ABZORB SBS cushioning deliver extra comfort for its wearers.
This new team-up follows the duo’s recent revival of the New Balance 997H earlier this summer.
All six J.Crew x New Balance 2002R colorways are available to pre-order exclusively via J.Crew’s website. Each pair retails for $130 and is expected to ship on September 20.
