Is Reebok on the move? According to reports from The Wall Street Journal and an article by The Boston Globe, Hong Kong private-equity investor Jynwel Capitol is looking to make a $2.2 Billion bid on the company with help from funds affiliated with the government of Abu Dhabi.

Reebok is currently owned by the adidas Group, who acquired the brand in 2006 for $3.8 Billion. While Reebok could be moving from adidas, the Boston Globe report suggests that Reebok would not be moving from their strategy. According to the article, the move would provide Reebok with more financing towards marketing and the opening of new stores, with all of Reebok’s executives expected to be kept on board.
