Traveling up to the Midwest for the latest installment of Open the Box, our guy George Kiel connected with University of Minnesota student Von Huynh to hear what it’s like being an aspiring sneaker designer.

Like this author and many readers, Von is a huge Kobe fan from both a hoops perspective and from the way he pushed performance footwear. While Von’s interest in sketching stemmed from art and his love of cartoons, being in the shoe business tops his list of dreams.
