It would be a big letdown if Nike decides to keep this particular shoe an exclusive to the players (which is how it stands currently). Every year, Nike creates an exclusive basketball sneaker for the annual Maui Invitational, and this Hyperdunk 2010 is easily the best we have seen to date. What makes this exclusive stand out from its predecessors is the respective details that pay homage to Maui. For example, it features an imprint of a wave on the toe cap, a palm tree on the side panel/tongue tab, and the words ?no ka ?oi? near the toe box (meaning ‘The Best’). Also, it incorporates eight pairs of laces representing the participants in the tournament (Connecticut, Kentucky, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Virginia, Washington, Wichita State). Nike, you must release this pair. Don’t be stingy!
