This iteration of the Vans UltimateWaffle EXP offers an experimental aesthetic that uses a new textile known as “Sturdy Stitch.” This thick thread is made out of heat-pressed TPU that creates a cohesive monomesh material. This particular sneaker stacks the Sturdy Stitch so that the textile will have durable reinforcement. The toecap is covered in multiple layers to protect against wear, while a single panel is added to the eyestay and heel. These varying layers work together to increase abrasion resistance without having to compromise breathability and flex. Other notable characteristics include the RapidWeld tech and UltimateWaffle Sole to provide more structure to the silhouette. Finishing details include co-branded logos on the tongue and heel.
