To rally against the current upsurge of racism and police brutality seen across the United States, WNBA greats Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird are teaming up with lauded sneaker retailer Flight Club for a special Nike auction.
The auction lots will include one-off custom and exclusive Nike sneakers from both the aforementioned athletes including Taurasi’s Nike LeBron 17 “Future Air” and Bird’s custom Nike Kyrie 6. Each pair is signed by their respective athlete and spotlighted with names of Black women who have tragically lost their lives at the hands of police brutality.
Interested bidders can head over to Flight Club’s dedicated Instagram post to place their bids. The bids will be restricted to increments of $100, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Breonna Taylor Foundation. The auction will run until August 21 at 11 a.m. EST, and winners will be announced on August 22. Check out the models below.
