It’s official! Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma collection is back. After a five-year hiatus, and an on-foot teaser back in June via the Bad Girl herself, the sportswear-meets-luxury label officially announced its return via Puma and Rihanna’s social accounts.
In the images, creative directed by RiRi herself, the multi-hyphenate can be seen showing off the collection’s leading silhouette dubbed the Fenty x Puma Avanti. The soccer-inspired, unisex sneaker elegantly combines the upper of the Puma King soccer boot — worn by icons like Pelé and Maradona — with the outsole of Puma’s Easy Rider runner shoe. Rihanna’s take on the Puma King draws from her love of the sport which further sees luxurious leather details and a leather footbed. Further elevating the pair are the fold-over tongue with a debossed and printed gold-foil “FENTY” and Puma Cat logo and laser etched logos.
“I wanted to bring something iconic from the archives to the street, and the late great Pelé made the Avanti shoe so iconic,” said Rihanna in an official press release.
Mark your calendars as the Fenty x Puma Avanti in both a classic black and white and chrome metallic silver colorway will hit select shelves and Puma.com on September 15 at 10 am EST. Prices range from $80 to $170. The silhouette will be released in full-family sizing
