Throughout the NBA season, not only are players switching in and out of new colorways more than ever before, but there are also several theme nights on the calendar where the league loosens up the color restrictions and lets guys veer away from their traditional team’s palette.
Halloween, Christmas, Black History Month, and even the week of the Grammy’s are all moments where guys can branch off and break out uniquely themed versions of their sneakers, with Easter perhaps the most colorful of them all.
This week, adidas Basketball’s signature athletes will be spotted in pastel takes on their namesake models, and we’ve got an exclusive look ahead at the “Easter” edition of Damian Lillard’s signature DLillard 1. With hits of pink, teal and blue throughout, you’ll notice a graphic on both the tongue sleeve and outsole reminiscent of an Easter egg design pattern.
Custom touches also include an egg print insole featuring Dame, as well as a “TOWNBIZ” call out on the heel giving a nod to Lillard’s hometown of Oakland. As of now, these were made only for him to wear this month, and won’t be releasing at retail.
Check out Dame’s PE below in detail, and keep an eye out for our Kicks On Court coverage to see him in action in this festive take on his signature model. Stay tuned for detailed looks at both Derrick Rose and John Wall’s Easter sneakers as well.
