Following three Chicago themed colorways and the famous ?Flints,? the original “Bred” makeup, deriving from the Black/Red color scheme, served as the final midtop Air Jordan 13 release in 1998. The shoe retailed for $150, featuring the iconic hologram, reflective black 3M mesh, and a varsity red suede wrapped midsole.

In 2004, the Air Jordan 13 “Bred” slid in as the second AJ13 retro release and the first of the OG colorways. A holiday launch continued the trend of bringing out the best colorways during the season of giving and was widely embraced even six years after its first drop. The shoe sold out fast in many locations, but did not garner quite the demand associated with releases these days.
