After making brief appearances at Rucker Park and even the 2022 NBA Playoffs, Donovan Mitchell and adidas Basketball officially unveil the adidas D.O.N. Issue #4. Mitchell upgrades the sneaker to be the lightest and most advanced basketball D.O.N. to date, channeling his superhuman speed and agility.
“I’m thrilled to release my fourth signature sneaker and the lightest D.O.N. to date with adidas,” said Mitchell. “Through our partnership, we’ve been able to spread a positive message with the D.O.N. signature series. This is about sharing my NBA experience with everyone who loves to play hoops and provide them with high-performance footwear that can be worn at any level.”
The adidas D.O.N. Issue #4 comes ready with a new LIGHTLOCK upper and rubber outsole allowing for the most efficient energy transition in the game. Mitchell prioritizes a lightweight frame for a quick first step with the new adidas Lightstrike Strobel midsole. The enhancements provide super-light cushioning and standout style on the hardwood. The sneaker includes a next-gen propulsion frame which enables explosive speed for full-court domination.
For its official launch, the adidas D.O.N. Issue #4 arrives in Core Red/Team Black for “Future of Fast,” Dash Gray/Bliss Lilac for ”Dream It”, Core Black/Carbon for “Lights Out,” and in Off White for “Achieve It”. All of the colorways are inspired by Mitchell’s feats on and off the court, while also reminding the next generation of hoopers to stay positive and never give up on their dreams.
