Newfound clothing brand Dobale presents its first collaborative collection with Vault by Vans. Led by Nigerian-American artist Ade Okuboyejo, the Dobale x Vault by Vans collection is titled “Forever Sunny in Ikoyi” and is inspired by Okuboyejo’s childhood in Lagos. Through a collection of footwear, apparel and accessories, Okuboyejo shows the world Nigeria’s joyful culture.

The color palette for this collection comes from the sunny atmosphere of his hometown, as well as the colors inspired by the cultural food, surrounding scenery, and the Lagos state flag. The collection features a Vans Bold Ni in a tri-color vintage suede with pigskin and canvas. The shades of orange, blue, and green complement the Vans Era VLT LX, designed to honor Okuboyejo’s favorite hometown dish, Efo. The Vans Slip-On VLT LX keeps things simple with a plain black upper, but still provides vibrant energy with its bright-colored trim and hand-drawn sun graphic.

Okuboyejo continues to show his cherished nostalgia in the Dobale “Forever Sunny in Ikoyi” collection through colorful prints and graphics seen on the 8-piece apparel collection that includes pieces like a Satin Flight Jacket, Trackpants, Woven Shirt, and more.

The Dobale x Vault by Vans “Forever Sunny in Ikoyi” Collection will be available starting on February 12th at select Vault by Vans retailers.
