Metro based creative agency DISTINCT LIFE has partnered with Puma for their second collaborative effort, dubbed the INSPIRE collection, to celebrate Black liberation and a better life for all humankind.
Designed by the agency’s founder Rick Williams, the collection takes inspiration from Detroit and the culture the city has built. Williams notes the immense history of the Motor City and how it has influenced the brand, stating the mission of the upcoming INSPIRE collection is to uplift people to be the best versions of themselves.
“At DISTINCT LIFE, it is our mission to emulate that influence by inspiring people to do better,” said Rick Williams, Co-Owner and Creative Director of DISTINCT LIFE. “The Puma x DISTINCT LIFE INSPIRE Collection is an extension of our commitment to championing Black entrepreneurship, celebrating Black freedom, and honoring our ancestors who paved the way for me as a Black designer to even be able to work with companies like Puma.”

Among the collection, the Puma Future Rider will be the collaborative footwear piece of choice. Alongside that, apparel will also arrive alongside the pair.
Look for the DISTINCT LIFE x Puma Collection to drop on June 18 through Puma.com and select retailers like Foot Locker Detroit. The in-store release of the Puma x DISTINCT LIFE INSPIRE Collection is part of DISTINCT LIFE’S INSPIRE 2021 Week activations and will feature music, food from Black-Owned restaurants and food trucks, giveaways, a ping-pong, and a pop-a-shot basketball tournament for a chance to win a FREE pair of the Puma x DISTINCT LIFE INSPIRE Future Rider sneaker from the collection.
