Denny Hamlin’s brand is associated with two things: Toyota cars and Jordan Brand sneakers. The latter has been instrumental to his racing attire, lacing him up with various sneakers perfect for racing. For his third official racing PE, the Jumpman has laced up Hamlin with an Air Jordan 1 racing PE.
This one-of-one player exclusive is inspired by Hamlin’s love for the Air Jordan 1. Like his previous sneakers, this racing-ready iteration is constructed with heat-resistant materials, including a fire resistant suede. Additional details include the enlarged Jumpman branding and embossed #11 pattern.
“Nine times out of ten, if you see me on the street, I’m wearing Air Jordan 1s. This Air Jordan 1 Racer PE is special for a lot of reasons. Jordan Brand actually built the heat shield into the heel of my shoe, so my feet never get too hot. This is also the first time my racing shoe has the Air Jordan wings logo on it, and of course, there’s the Jumpman logo.”
