Spike Lee is a documented sneaker and Jordan Brand fanatic, and his classic film Do the Right Thing is significantly connected to the culture. Today marks the 25-year anniversary of the movie’s theatrical release, and we’re taking a look back at its historical connection to sneakers. Many memorable models were spotted in the movie, including Bo Jackson trainers and the Air Jordan 4, but the blockbuster contunues to inspire Jordan Brand silhouettes and style codes. Other than gracing Spike Lee’s personal Jordan Spizike, the blue and yellow theme has also been featured on the Air Jordan 3 and last year’s Air Jordan XX8, as well as many other customs and secondary sneakers. Get a look at some of the DTRT Jordans below, and tell us your Do the Right Thing sneaker stories in the feedback space underneath.
