Debuting at New York Comic Con is the long awaited Czarface x Saucony Azura “Czarcony.” Half hip-hop group, half comic book superhero — Czarface was created in 2013 by underground hip-hop duo 7L and Esoteric with the help of Wu-Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck. The Czarface character was designed by graphic designer and street artist L’Amour Supreme, who also lends his art to the sneaker. Esoteric first mentioned the sneaker on the 2019 track “Bizarro” saying, “Peep the aura, Saucony Azura.”
The Saucony Azura has a premium leather upper with black side panels and debossed Czarface monograms. A molded rubber Czarface mask is attached to the tongues, with the left shoe’s lateral heel panel sports “Czarcony” logo. Additionally, the shoebox features exclusive Czarface artwork by L’Amour Supreme.
The Czarface x Saucony Azura “Czarcony” releases on October 7th at New York Comic Con. You’ll want to be at the special signing event going down at 5pm at the Super7 booth (#1325). Sneakers purchased at NYCC come with a special Super7 action figure of Czarface wearing the shoes. You can expect an online release to follow on the Super7 website and saucony.com.
