Shenzhen-based retailer COSTS and Japanese mainstay FDMTL has teamed up on a collaborative New Balance 2002R silhouette decked out in an exquisite denim outfit.
FDMTL’s design ethos is seen throughout this model, which is crafted from five different textile types that pay homage to traditional Japanese denim craftsmanship. The pair is then elevated with a pearl weave and blue suede overlays. Elsewhere, two-tone Sashiko fabric is spotlighted on the tongue and heel.
Final details include New Balance’s “N” insignia on the mid panels, embroidery at the vamp and tongue, and printed New Balance and 2002R hits found at the rear. This all sits atop an ABZORB-equipped midsole unit.
COSTS x FDMTL x New Balance 2002R collaboration will be available exclusively at COSTS and FDMTL locations mid-November and will be packaged in a special box designed by COSTS.
