If you grew up in the late ’80s and early ’90s you likely remember how COOGI sweaters became a fixture in hip-hop culture as a slew of rappers would rock the Australian company’s lively sweaters on the regular. Inspired by this era of hip-hop, PUMA has teamed up with COOGI to give their old-school California silhouette a vibrant makeover.
The COOGI x PUMA California sports a colorful fabric pattern throughout the upper that is essentially an exact replica of the company’s iconic sweaters. A black midsole and PUMA form stripe only highlights the vibrancy of the upper. Along with a gold tongue branding, a bright blue sole completes the look.
Releasing on August 15, the COOGI x PUMA California will be available at PUMA.com and select PUMA retailers.
