Washington Wizards forward and NBA tunnel fashion icon Kelly Oubre Jr. was one of the first athletes Converse signed for their re-launch of Converse Hoops but Tsunami Papi takes it off the court for the “Chase The Drip” Pack in which he had a hand in designing.

“From the jump, Converse has given me the platform to collaborate and design product that is authentically me. This new drop is no different, it’s inspired by my passion for thrifting and is representative of my unorthodox approach to fashion. I like to create my own wave, and people recognize and appreciate that. Having Foot Locker & Champs Sports show love and help bring this to the masses is huge, I’m excited for my fans to get their hands on these.” says Kelly Oubre Jr.

Two sneakers are featured in the first installment of the “Chase The Drip” Pack, the Converse SkipGrip Hi and the UNT1TL3D Hi which both share a similar design language of having tearaway uppers.

The Chase the Drip x KOJ SkidGrip Hi uses a black tearaway canvas upper that features Tsunami Papi and Converse graphics underneath on the white canvas base layer. Metal eyelets are utilized with contrast stitching in white, and the sneaker sits on a black midsole and outsole to finish off the monochrome look.

The Chase the Drip x KOJ UNT1TL3D Hi is a new and explorative take on the Chuck 70, also uses a black upper that chips away after time and wears to feature a Tsunami Papi design on the base layer. The graphic is featured on the lateral side alongside the Converse All-Star patch, with gold graphics on the left sneaker and blue graphics on the right. Moving to the medial side, more text graphics are featured with Tsunami Papi and Converse branding, and the Star Chevron is also printed near the medial ankle. Moving down to the midsole, a rugged stripe pattern is embossed throughout with a black outsole finishing off the sneaker.

The Converse “Chase The Drip” Pack is set to drop on September 10th at Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and on Converse.com with the Chase the Drip x KOJ SkidGrip Hi retailing for $70 and the UNT1TL3D Hi retailing for $70. Check out the editorial photos from Foot Locker below.
