Converse Unveils All Star BB Trilliant CX

With the 2023-24 NBA season just around the corner, hoop fans have a slew of basketball performance sneakers to look forward to including Converse’s brand-new All Star BB Trilliant CX model.

Debuting in four eye-catching colorways, the Converse All Star BB Trilliant CX is inspired by Larry Johnson’s 1993 Aero Jam and features a low-top silhouette that additionally boasts a removable shroud, giving the wearer the option of various looks.

Each colorway is made from a durable polyester upper. “Magic Flame” and “Nitro Bud” take their design cues from the poisonous dart frog boasting hexagonal prints throughout its upper. On the other hand, the “Blue Magma”, drawing inspiration from the Ring of Fire’s active volcanos, sports a primarily blue and black color scheme with contrasting orange elevating the midsole and branding details. Lastly, the pair also arrives in a winter-ready “Wolfpack” iteration boasting a low-pile woven terry upper on a clean, demure white and moonbathe color scheme. This colorway also features a glow-in-the-dark Star Chevron screen-printed logo.

In terms of technical specs, the Converse All Star BB Trilliant CX opts for a raised heel tab to match the height of the tongue, a lace webbing system, a TPU counter that runs from the sole to heel for more structured mobility, and lastly, a full-length CX Foam cushioning system sits below alongside a forefoot Zoom Air pocket.
