As part of his ongoing efforts to show love to his loyal fans, which you can often find on Instagram under the #DameLoveTheFans hashtag, Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard recently wore two different fan-designed colorways of his first signature shoe, the adidas DLillard 1.
The premise was simple: Dame asked his 746,000 followers on Twitter to take a crack at designing a DLillard 1 colorway on miadidas, he picked his favorite white and black colorways from the entries, and then he wore them in an NBA game. It was just another example of the power of social media for NBA players, and how fans of today can literally connect directly with their favorite stars.
