For months, rumors have swirled that a Red / White Air Jordan XI would be releasing this holiday season, possibly even on December 23rd and alongside an Air Jordan XX9 in a 2-shoe pack similar to last year’s “Ultimate Gift of Flight Pack.”
First seen as a PE made for Jordan signature athlete Carmelo Anthony, the alleged release has resurfaced several times in recent months, mostly as a hue-contrasted photoshop image of the “Pantone” XI that released last December. It’s an easy flip to switch the hues from carolina to red.
With lots of uncertainty surrounding the launch, I’ve confirmed with multiple sources at Nike that rumors of the Red / White XI releasing are false.
The shoe won’t be releasing this December, on its own or as part of a “2PK” launch.
“Not coming out period,” confirms a source.
We’ll keep you posted if more information becomes available, but at this time, the shoe simply isn’t releasing.
