It appears that another heavy-hitting collab is coming soon, by way of Concepts x New Balance 57/40 “Headin’ Home”. Creative Director of the brand, Deon Point, took to Instagram to share first look photos earlier this week.
The sneaker and apparel collection takes inspiration from a 1920 silent film called Headin’ Home, which is a biopic on Babe Ruth, and uses the original posters of the movie for the color palette on the collaborative sneaker. The sneaker is definitely a home run as the upper is made with vibrant shades of orange and smooth off-white suede. These colors pair perfectly with New Balance’s premium patchwork that pulls everything together seamlessly. The “N” logo uses a material similarly seen on the waxy paper in baseball card packs and comes in a custom Concepts box which is detailed in theatrical iconography.
