In 2008, Concepts and Nike SB created hysteria with the release of the crustacean-inspired Nike SB Dunk Low. The first-ever Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low “Red Lobster” made waves in the sneaker community, especially in the New England area, as Rob Heppler, Deon Point, and the Concepts team had the collaborative game within claw-able reach.
For the last 15 years, the partnership has delivered a handful of “Lobster” iterations with the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low “Orange Lobster” being the latest installment with a Friends & Family “White Lobster” surfacing shortly after.
The Concepts x Nike SB partnership will see its final “Lobster” iteration with the forthcoming Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low “What The Lobster” colorway, according to Sole Retriever.
The “What The Lobster” is a testament to previous colorways with its multi-colored look pulling from each “Lobster” throughout the fifteen years. A mismatched motif, akin to the iconic Nike SB Dunk Low “What The SB” and the Nike SB Dunk Low “What The Paul” colorways, will tap into the “Lobster” palette as well as some callouts from unreleased Concepts x Nike SB Dunk samples.
Aside from the early mock-up, not much else is known about the upcoming release. We expect the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low “What The Lobster” to release at CNCPTS.com, CNCPTS’ locations, SNKRS, and select Nike SB accounts later this year.
