Community Collections hikes back to the Left Coast to feature a California sneaker enthusiast who has a little bit of everything. Schristian Gonzalez was born and raised in San Francisco, and has built his shoe collection with variety in mind. Originally hooked on a pair of “Canvas” Nike Air Force 1s, now his stash has expanded to include many different departments, from basketball models to SBs. Even though his stock is already impressive, Gonzalez insists that his sneaker story is far from over.

Collection Summary

“Let’s take it back to my childhood- I wasn’t the kid that had the new Nikes or Jordans that just released. I guess you could say that I was a simple kid. I had some Jordans here and there, but it wasn’t until 2003 when my brother came home one day with a pair of black and white canvas Air Force 1s he had bought for me that I got really into sneakers. I was definitely blown away with the materials used. I wore them very carefully, and cleaned them after every wear. 11 years later, that love of sneakers just grew. Being from San Francisco, I have experienced the hardships of harsh camp outs, scammers, stores being sold out, and of course the headaches of researching all day for where I can find the next shoe. My collection has a little of everything. From Nike SBs, to Jordan classics, and of course Nike classic models. The sneaker community has grown tremendously these past years and it’s getting harder to obtain certain shoes. My only advice to the new sneaker generation is to not believe the hype, and cop what you like. I’ve told many before that every sneaker in my collection tells a story, and mine is far from over.”
