Rei Kawakubo’s COMME des GARÇONS runway presentations at Paris Fashion Week are time-honored ceremonious gatherings for the fashion elite. It’s creative theater at its finest, and a window into the tone of style in the months come.
The shows can also be a staging ground for new sneaker collaborations, as it was this year, debuting the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike LunarEpic Flyknit. Seen beneath oversized and textured skirts, the assumed women’s exclusive highlights a bow at the toe with exposed Flywire cables and contrast black Swoosh branding over a predominately white Flyknit base.
