American footwear brand Converse today announced their fourth in another highly anticipated collaboration with Japanese fashion purveyors, COMME des GARÇONS. This time around utilizing their PLAY imprint, the two key on a silhouette that has often been the centerpiece of their creative outfit, the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. Tracking back to the silhouettes 1970’s heritage, the collection features two highs and two lows in both black and milk renditions. Each denotes CDG PLAY logo branding along the rear while contrast canvas heels add distinction to each model including nickel hardware, thick cotton laces and a cushioned sockliner to ensure proper comfort. Look for the collection starting Thursday, May 14, at Dover Street Market New York and London locations and online. COMME des GARÇONS participating retailers will house the four-piece collection on Friday, May 15.
