After teaming up on a GEL-Kayano 5 last year, Chemist Creations & ASICS join forces once again to drop an All Court Alpha-L. While the pair have teamed up on runner-inspired models in the past, they come together to tackle the basketball lifestyle crossover. Yixi Chen teased the collaboration last August, though now we have official images of the Black pair to share.
The pairs feature a high-top construction, with the Black version featuring White detailing and the White pair featuring Navy detailing. Most panels are made from a smooth leather, found on the toecap, lace holes, heel cup & lace shroud covers. The midfoot panels, as well as the toebox & top of the heel are constructed from suede. Stamped on the suede heel panel is the word “Chemicals” in Mandarin with ASICS branding stamped below on the leather. The shoes’ standout feature is the swappable lace shroud covers, where ASICS iconic logo stands true in robust leather construction.
The pairs have a notable retro look to them with their large paneling though it is worth noting how well-suited to the future they are. Chemist Creations as a brand carries the importance of sustainability in their ethos, we’re interested to see the shoes’ impact.
