Is it just us or does it seem like the Metaverse popped up overnight? Seriously, it’s been a big month for all things Meta and it seems that this is just the beginning of its presence amongst the masses.

Wilder World announced that creative mastermind and former professional skateboarder, Chad Knight, is taking on the role as their new Head of CyberWear. To make things even more interesting, Knight was previously the Head of 3D at Nike, which definitely catches our attention. From skating, to 3D, and now CyberWear — how cool can this guy get?

Chad Knight is a digital artist known for his signature art style that balances fantasy and reality within the digital realm. Some of his most recent work includes designing the album art for the Doja Cat and SZA single, “Kiss Me More.” He even created a NFT for Vogue Singapore’s September issue.

Between his personal work and his time as the Head of 3D at Nike, Knight has a great understanding of art, culture, and technology. As leaders in the Metaverse, Wilder World plans to use Knight’s technical talents to expand their immersive digital experience.

Wilder World is a 5D Metaverse experience built on Ethereum, Unreal Engine 5, and ZERO. Wilder World is powered by the $WILD token which is used on the Wilder World Metaverse Market where you can buy and trade NFTs with in-world utility. The Wilder vision is to create a fully decentralized and community-owned virtual nation to be experienced in their immersive photorealistic Metaverse.

Knight will immediately start off by overseeing the Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) which focuses on designing digital wearables for avatars in the platform’s immersive Metaverse. Every item designed for the DAO will be an NFT collectible with in-world utility and capabilities inside Wilder World.

Knight’s first Wilder World collection is titled “AIR WILD: Season One,” which is already in development and expected to release in late November 2021. The collection will have a total of 198 procedurally generated sneakers made by Knight himself, as his first move as the Head of CyberWear for the Wilder World Metaverse.

“I’m excited to launch my first collection for Wilder World’s DAO in November and take our first steps to redefine digital wearables,” Knight said. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to join Wilder World and take my experiences and expertise from a decade of footwear design and apply it to the Wilder Nation.”
