Following a collaboration late last year, Copenhagen-based fashion designer Cecilie Bahnsen and ASICS are once again joining forces, this time on a range of GT-2160s.
Debuted during her Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024 runway show, the upcoming Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS GT-2160 looks to be a hybrid between a sneaker and Mary Jane. Known for her hyper-feminine designs, these collaborative silhouettes are injected with couture elements and floral decals.
Instead of a conventional vamp, the pair ops for a metallic silver or gloss black Velcro strap embellished with floral motifs. Further elevating the offerings are the transparent panels and the two front eyelets to create a dainty bow at the toe.
Bahnsen shared her creative vision on Instagram: “Cecilie Bahnsen x ASICS; paying homage to the studied craftsmanship and passion invested in this collaboration, echoing the artistry behind each shoe. Trainers are displayed on plinths in a raw space creating a striking contrast in merging Cecilie Bahnsen’s feminine universe with ASICS’s technical appeal.”
