Jordan Brand honors NBA icon and OG “Melo” baller Carmelo Anthony with his own exclusive Air Jordan 2 pack, featuring two sneakers inspired by his legendary career in the league.
From the Nuggets to the Knicks, Lakers, and everything in-between, Jordan Brand celebrates every part of Melo’s journey throughout the NBA. As a member of the Jumpman family, Jordan Brand went all out with premium leather and luxe gold finishes to symbolize his career as a basketball icon and 3-time gold medalist. Each sneaker features quilted satin sockliners and “Stay Melo” gold plates placed on the back of the heels.
The pack features two colorways including a Nugget-approved White/University Blue iteration, as well as a sleek Black/Red/Blue edition that nods to other team colors from different moments in his career, such as the OKC Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and even Team USA.
Both sneakers came housed in an exclusive box lined with personalized Melo graphics like his signature logo, his “Hoodie Melo” alter ego, the different numbers he wore over his career, and more.
Being that Melo was Jordan Brand’s first signature athlete after MJ, this was a full circle moment for the Jumpman as Melo officially announced his retirement earlier this year, after playing 19 seasons, making 10 All-Star teams, and becoming the #9 all-time scorer in the league.
