Blake Griffin does not have his own signature shoe.
In fact, he actually has something much better. Serving as the face of the Super.Fly series for years and now balling in the Air Jordan 34, BG was blessed with his own pair of Air Jordan 11 PEs paying homage to his college career at Oklahoma — which is now a Jordan Brand school.
But when it comes to getting gifts from Mike, it’s all earned.
In the latest episode of Sneaker Shopping we learn just how Blake got Mike to make him 1-of-1 AJ 11s.
“The XIs were from that Mexico trip,” Blake told Joe La Puma. “Some of us had won a bet against Jordan, so we got to pick our own colors. It’s hard, because there are so many colors already and colors coming out. So I made a shoe, and they were like, Well we have this one coming out. Kind of similar. So I just went back to Oklahoma roots and did Crimson and White. [The bet] was part of our team building thing.”
This was likely the same trip Anthony Hamilton got blessed with Air Jordan PEs 1 through XXX.
