BAPE Taps Havaianas for Camo-Indebted Flip-Flop Collection

Since its inception in 1993, BAPE has been dominating the streetwear scene thanks in large part due to its recognizable Ape Head motif, signature camouflage patterns, and, of course, its heavy-hitting collaborations. Along with tapping famed Japanese illustrator Hajime Sorayama for a chrome-filled BAPESTA collaboration, BAPE has also joined forces with Brazilian label Havaianas for a range of camo-indebted flip-flops.

The exclusive five-piece lineup includes two of Havaianas’ famed models, the Trade Zori and the Top sandal. The former is a modern take on the traditional Japanese Zori, while the latter is an all-time favorite amongst customers. Both silhouettes are dressed in BAPE’s ubiquitous ABC CAMO. The Trade Zori is available in white and steel grey, while the TOP iteration is available in the signature ABC CAMO colors of green, blue, and pink.

Interested readers will be able to purchase the co-designed BAPE x Havaianas collection when it releases on August 1 via BAPE brick-and-mortars, BAPE.com, and Havaianas.com. The BAPE x Havaianas Top will retail for ¥6,600 JPY (approximately $60 USD) and the BAPE x Havaianas Tradi Zori will retail for ¥14,300 JPY (approximately $130 USD).
