In the summer of 2007, revered streetwear giant A Bathing Ape teamed tapped DC Comics for an epic collaboration that put every comic book fan over the moon. The capsule showcased the publisher’s famed superheroes front and center, including the likes of Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Superman.
Now, almost 14 years later, the duo is once again joining forces for two special iterations of BAPE’s iconic BAPESTA silhouette, along with a range of apparel items to celebrate the grand opening of the BAPE Store Madison Avenue in NYC. The DC Comics x BAPE BAPESTA arrives in a red, blue, and yellow outfit to match Superman’s cape and tights, while the second option boasts a grey and black color scheme to match Batman’s custom.
The two aforementioned heroes are also emblazoned on a bevy of T-shirts, hoodies, and crewnecks. Just like the inaugural capsule, zip-up hoodies have been included dressed with Batman’s pointed ears.
A range of items from the DC Comics x BAPE collection will be availably exclusively via BAPE’s new Madison Avenue location starting January 2, while the rest will be available at all BAPE locations and BAPE.com on the same day.
