New York City’s Kith will get an exclusive launch of Balenciaga’s new Runner sneaker. There are 650 pairs across three colorways for sale exclusively at Kith for a short time.
The Balenciaga Runner comes in three colorways, Grey/Burgundy, Black, and White. The sneaker design takes elements of performance running sneakers of the mid-2000s such as the mesh base and overlays with an exaggerated and DIY approach, featuring raw cuts, stitches, and glue throughout. The external heel counter flows into the chunky heel, similarly seen on Balenciaga’s Track silhouette. Balenciaga branding can be seen on the tongue, heel counter, with “runner” printed on the lateral side of the midsole. Co-branding of Kith and Balenciaga is seen on the dubraes that denote the limited 650 pairs of the sneaker. Lastly, the shoe size is seen on the tip of the outsole and heel in true Balenciaga fashion.
The Balenciaga Runner releases on Friday, July 16th exclusively in-store at Kith locations, online at 11 AM EST at Kith.com and 11 AM CET on Eu.Kith.com. The Runner will retail for $1,090 in the three colorways mentioned earlier from sizes ranging from 39-45 for men and 36-42 for women.
