What a year it has been for the GEL-Lyte III.
The canvas of various collaborations and colorways, the ASICS classic has maintained near the same reverence and acknowledgement as any other sneaker. Following Ronnie Fieg’s “The Palette” collection, the flagship silhouette is set to finish the year with this “Wood Crepe” iteration.
Combining both “Wood Crepe” and “Plum Blossom”, the GEL-Lyte III combines both the seasonal vibes of Autumn with dashes of pink resembling Spring. The sneaker is constructed with an almost entirely suede upper, with various overlays sitting atop the muted pink branding. A cork-like insole completes the design.
The ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Wood Crepe” has already seen an Australian release but look for the State-wide release to occur this December on Asics.com, perhaps on December 10.
