Though firmly associated with the movie, the Space Jam Air Jordan 11s were FIRST debuted on the NBA court by MJ himself prior to the movie’s release. The Space Jams were the first non-Original colorway to be released to the public in December of 2000 during MJ’s second retirement. The Space Jams, aka Space Jam Jordans, remained in the vault until 2009 when Jordan Brand started their annual campaign of releasing a single Jordan 11 each and every December.
