If you recall, we dubbed this Air Jordan 9 Retro “Citrus” our #10 sneaker in our 10 Sneakers We’re Looking Forward to in 2010. We stated that 2010 would be the ‘year of the Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 9’, and it is turning out to be just that. Following the Air Jordan 9 Retro White/Black-University Blue release information we gave you yesterday, we now have learned that the “Citrus” Air Jordan 9 Retro will release on July 3rd, 2010.
This particular Air Jordan 9 Retro features a few design cues that have never been associated with Jordan’s ninth signature sneaker. For example, a glossy, black 3M piecing appears just above the midsole and along the collar section. The rest of the base is done up in black leather and sits atop a white outsole. However, its most glaring features appear in the form of the citrus colored hints seen on the heel, tongue, outsole and inside of the tongue.
