Starting things off, the New England Patriots captured their first Super Bowl by defeating the St.Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI, David Carr became the first pick for the newly-cemented Houston Texans franchise in the 2002 NFL draft and the Los Angeles Lakers captured their third straight title defeating the New Jersey Nets four games to none, to secure their three-peat and subsequent dynasty.
