In 1991, Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan 6 which would become etched into basketball lore as it would be the first of the six signature sneakers Michael Jordan wore during his two three-peats with the Chicago Bulls.

This upcoming holiday season, the brand was rumored to release a new colorway that called back to the Air Jordan line origins’ and even one of the original five colorways.

The Air Jordan 6 “Fire Red” reportedly was supposed to have a predominantly black upper with fire red and iron grey details, a nod to the “DMP Raptors” Air Jordan 7.
