Back in 2017, Jordan Brand gifted Mark Wahlberg an exclusive Air Jordan 5 inspired by Transformers: The Last Knight. With the release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts scheulded for later this year, images of the Air Jordan 5 “Transformers Alternate” have surfaced.
Only five pairs of this Air Jordan 5 were made. The upper is covered in Black ripstop fabric and features metallic Silver accents on the midsole. The sneaker’s spiked wave shape is splattered with Red and Blue paint as a nod to Optimus Prime’s signature colors.
The tongue and quarters are complete with a transparent net underlay, which complements the sneaker’s clear lace toggle. Other Transformers-inspired details include the glow-in-the-dark outsole and the “84” heel counter, which is a nod to Transformers’ 1984 debut date.
