Next month, the Air Jordan 11 “Concord” returns with more OG details than ever before.
The grail of grails, we’ve seen the “Concords” return before but never quite like this. Decked out in rich patent leather, icy outsole and purple pods, the 2018 release parallels Mike’s OG sample pair from over 20 years back, all the way down to the #45 tagging.
For those keeping track at home, the #45 tagging appeared on MJ’s first pair of “Concords” back in the 1995 NBA Playoffs. Every retail pair since, including the originals, have featured #23 on the heel. Thus, the #45 on the heel is a nod to the very first pair of “Concords” and a first for retail.
